What should a roofer website include?
A good roofer website should make you easy to call the moment a roof fails, name every job you take on — re-roofs, flat roofs, chimney and lead work, storm repairs — show recent before-and-after work, display the credentials customers and insurers check, and offer a free survey rather than a made-up price.
The storm-damage call path
A slipped ridge in a gale gets searched one-handed from a doorway, rain already coming in. The roofer whose number is a thumb-tap away — not buried in a footer — is the one who gets rung before the water spreads.
The re-roof, researched slowly
A full re-roof is a five-figure decision made over weeks, not minutes. People read three or four roofers at the kitchen table before anyone gets a call, so the site has to answer the careful questions, not just shout the loudest.
Recent roofs, before and after
Roofing is judged on results you can see. A stripped-and-re-slated terrace, a repointed chimney, a flat roof that no longer pools — five to ten recent before-and-after jobs say more than any claim about being tidy.
The proof customers and insurers check
After storm damage an insurer often wants a quote from a credentialed roofer before it settles. NFRC membership reassures the homeowner and helps the claim through — shown where both will look for it.
Your roofing jobs, named the way people search
Re-roofs, flat roofs, chimney and lead work, storm repairs, guttering and fascias — each its own service. Someone searching flat roof repair should land on a page about flat roofs, not a general roofing page.
A free survey, not a made-up price
A roof price swings too far with pitch, access and what is found under the old tiles to post honestly online. So the site wins the free survey instead — a clear route to send photos and book a look, never a guessed figure.
Roofing gets searched in two very different moments. One is the emergency: a tile off in a storm, a stain spreading across a bedroom ceiling, a customer ringing whoever looks reliable and picks up today. The other is the planned job — a tired roof finally being replaced, compared carefully over a few weeks against two or three other firms. A roofer’s website has to win both at once: reachable in one tap for the panic, and reassuring enough to make the shortlist for the spend.
It also has to handle money differently from most trades. A roof cannot be priced from a photo — the pitch, the access and the state of the timber underneath all move the figure — so the honest thing a site can do is win the free survey, not publish a number that turns out wrong. And when the job is storm damage, your credentials earn their place twice over: the insurer settling the claim usually wants a quote from a properly qualified roofer, so the same badges that reassure the homeowner also help clear the claim.
Every roofer website we build carries all six — that is the starting structure, not an upgrade.
An example roofer website.
This is our Renton Roofing demo — the structure we build for roofing businesses, finished: named service pages for re-roofs, flat roofs and chimney and lead work, a recent-work gallery, customer reviews and NFRC proof on show.

The proof customers and insurers look for.
We make the qualifications and memberships you actually hold easy for customers to see.
Roofing is bought under pressure and paid for at scale, so the checks matter more than in most trades. A homeowner spending five figures on a re-roof looks for a name they recognise, and after storm damage an insurer often wants a quote from a qualified roofer before it settles. NFRC is the name most people know.
The one customers know
NFRC
The National Federation of Roofing Contractors — the roofing trade body customers are most likely to recognise, and the one a careful homeowner or an insurer looks for before committing to a roof.
How it can appear on your site
NFRC Member— your membership, shown here
Shown near the top of your site and beside your roofing services — only where you hold the membership.
TrustMark
The Government Endorsed Quality Scheme for work a homeowner has carried out in and around the home.
NFRC Competent Person Scheme
Formerly CompetentRoofer — the government-authorised scheme that lets a roofer self-certify that re-roofing work meets the building regulations for England and Wales.
Insurance-backed guarantees
A guarantee that stands behind your work if the business ever stops trading — offered through schemes like the NFRC one, where you are registered for it.
Public liability insurance
Not a membership, but the cover more and more customers ask to see — displayed clearly where you hold it.
None of these are ours to award — a roofer earns them, and not every roofer holds every one. We show the ones you do hold, where a customer and an insurer can't miss them.

Roofer questions, answered.
Should I put prices on my roofing website?
Honestly, no — and customers do not expect it. A roof’s price depends on the pitch, the access, the materials and what turns up once the old covering comes off, so a number online is either a guess or wrong. Your site’s job is to win the free survey instead: make it easy to send a few photos and book a look, then quote properly once you have seen the roof.
Will storm-damage customers actually find me?
That is exactly the moment a website earns its keep. A tile off in a gale gets searched from a phone, one-handed, by someone who will ring the first roofer who looks real and reachable. Your number sits at the top of every page as a tap-to-call button, and you can flag emergency or same-day call-outs so the urgent jobs come to you first.
Most of my work is word of mouth — do I still need a website?
Word of mouth is exactly why you need one. When a neighbour passes your name on, the homeowner looks you up before they ring — to see a few finished roofs, check you are NFRC and decide you are worth a five-figure job. A recommendation gets confirmed on your website, or it goes cold.
I don’t have good photos of my roofs — what goes in the gallery?
Professional roofing images to begin with, included wherever you have none of your own yet. Then swap in the real thing as jobs finish — a stripped-and-re-slated roof or a tidy lead valley, straight from your phone. Before-and-after shots of your own work are what win the next customer.
Can I add and update recent jobs myself?
Yes. Add photos of finished roofs straight from your phone, and make simple edits — wording, contact details, a new review — whenever you like. Anything bigger, send it over in plain words and we sort it. It is all part of the monthly price.
How long until my roofing website is ready?
Usually two to three days. You tell us the jobs you want more of — re-roofs, flat roofs, chimney and lead work, storm repairs — and each gets its own page, built around your work and the credentials you hold. You see the finished site and approve it before anything goes live, and before you pay a penny.
