1. Service description
Find Us Online provides a done-for-you website service for businesses and sole traders. The service includes professional website design, domain registration where applicable, hosting, the secure padlock visitors see in their browser, and ongoing maintenance. You do not need any technical knowledge to use the service.
This service is for businesses and sole traders buying a website for their trade or business.
2. Plans and pricing
We offer one subscription plan, available on a monthly or annual billing cycle:
- Your website — everything included — £29.99/month, or £299.99/year billed upfront once a year.
There are no upfront build costs. We build your site first and you only pay once you are happy with it and choose a plan.
Prices are not subject to VAT (Find Us Online is not VAT-registered).
3. Your subscription terms
When you subscribe through the checkout, you agree to these subscription terms:
- Minimum term: You can pay monthly or annually, but your website plan has a 12-month minimum term from your first payment.
- Starting work straight away: By subscribing, you ask us to start work straight away, including website setup, hosting setup, admin work, and domain registration where applicable.
- First month and setup costs: Your first month is not refundable once work has started, because it covers setup, admin work, hosting setup, and any domain costs we incur for you.
- Cancellation: If you want to cancel during the first 12 months, contact us and we’ll review the request. After the 12-month minimum term, you can cancel before your next renewal.
- Renewal reminder: We’ll remind you around 1 month before your plan renews so you can decide whether to continue, change plan, or end your subscription.
This service is for businesses and sole traders buying a website for their trade or business.
4. Billing and payment
All payments are processed by Stripe. Monthly subscriptions are billed each calendar month from the date of your first payment; annual subscriptions are billed upfront once a year from the same date. Subscriptions auto-renew on the same cycle. We will remind you around one month before your plan renews so you can decide whether to continue, change plan, or end your subscription.
If a payment fails, you will have a short grace period to update your payment details before the site is suspended. We will contact you before any suspension.
5. Content updates
Your plan includes unlimited website updates for normal business use — send us your changes, or make them yourself, as often as you need. To keep the service fair and reliable for everyone, a reasonable fair-use policy applies: if updates ever run far beyond what a typical business needs, we may schedule them with you rather than action them all at once. Everyday use is never affected.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can request cancellation at any time from your account page, and the system acts on it straight away:
- In your first 14 days: your subscription is cancelled promptly and future billing stops. Because you asked us to start work straight away, your first month and setup costs are not refundable once work has started; any refund beyond that is at our discretion and confirmed with you by email.
- After 14 days, during your 12-month minimum term:your request is accepted immediately and your subscription is scheduled to end at the end of the minimum term. Your site stays live and billing continues until then. If you pay annually, your plan simply won't renew, and your site stays live to the end of the year you've paid for.
- After your minimum term: your subscription ends at the end of your current billing period. Your site, domain, and email stay active until then.
If a payment fails, we'll email you with a simple way to update your card; your site is only suspended if payment isn't sorted after about a week of reminders.
7. Content ownership
- You retain ownership of all content you provide: text, photographs, and your logo.
- Find Us Online retains ownership of the platform, website templates, and underlying code.
- Stock images used in your site are licensed for use while your subscription is active. They cannot be transferred on departure.
8. AI-assisted content and your responsibilities
We use AI tools, guided by our team, to draft your website from the information you give us. Everything we generate is a draft until you approve it. Before your site goes live you'll see a full preview, and nothing is published without your approval. You are responsible for checking that statements about your business are accurate — including qualifications, accreditations, insurance, guarantees and prices — and you confirm you have the right to use any text, photos, logos and testimonials you provide.
We don't invent credentials: we only state accreditations you've told us about. We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, misleading or unsafe. We can't guarantee search-engine rankings or specific levels of enquiries.
9. Domain ownership and DNS
Where possible, your domain is registered in your name — it's yours. While you're subscribed, we manage the technical (DNS) settings that point it at your website, and we're responsible for making those changes carefully. We're not responsible for failures or delays at domain registrars or DNS providers, or for the normal 24–48 hours it can take changes to take effect across the internet.
If your domain is managed outside Find Us Online, keeping it registered and paid for is your responsibility. If you leave, we'll help transfer your domain to you or your new provider for 30 days after cancellation.
10. Email service
Email forwarding from your business domain to your personal inbox is included on all plans and configured automatically. Forwarding ceases when your domain is no longer managed by Find Us Online.
11. Data protection and processing
We process your data in compliance with UK GDPR. Account data is retained for 90 days following account closure, then permanently deleted. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
For enquiries submitted through your website's contact form, you are the data controller and we act as your processor: we only use enquiry data to deliver it to you and operate your site; we apply appropriate security measures; we use the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy (hosting, payments, email delivery, AI drafting, backups) and will tell you about changes; we'll help you respond to data-subject requests about your enquiries; we'll notify you without undue delay of any personal-data breach affecting your data; and when your subscription ends we delete your data within 90 days (backup copies are deleted on our backup rotation cycle). You can complain to us at hello@findus-online.co.uk and to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
12. Acceptable use
You must not use Find Us Online to host content that is illegal, hateful, discriminatory, or adult in nature. Find Us Online reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy without notice or refund.
13. Liability, availability and support
We aim for at least 99.5% availability, but this is a target, not a guarantee — we may also take short planned maintenance windows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost business or lost data caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including third-party service failures (hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors), and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability we cannot legally exclude, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Support is by email (hello@findus-online.co.uk) and your portal, Monday–Friday, UK business hours. We aim to acknowledge every request within 1 business day. Build and update turnaround targets (~3 working days) are best-effort, not guaranteed — we'll always tell you if something will take longer. We don't offer 24/7 support or guaranteed response times.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
