What should a landscaper website include?
A good landscaper website should lead with before-and-after photos of real gardens, name every service the way people search for it — garden design, patios, fencing, turfing, water features — show the credentials and insurance customers check, and give people a clear way to ask for a quote.
Before-and-afters that do the selling
A tired garden beside the finished space says more than any paragraph. It is the one asset only you can supply, and the thing a homeowner scrolls back to — three or four strong transformations win more work than a dozen tidy-but-forgettable shots.
Every service named the way it's searched
Nobody types 'landscaping'. People search garden design, patios and paving, fencing, turfing, tree surgery, water features — each its own job with its own page, so the homeowner who wants a new patio lands on the page about patios.
Maintenance rounds and one-off clearances
A regular maintenance round and a garden left wild for years are two different customers. An overgrown plot produces one urgent search, not a repeat one — be the landscaper it finds, on a page that speaks to the job in front of them, and it is yours.
Built for the seasons your phone rings
Landscaping runs in a cycle — a spring rush to get gardens ready, an autumn spike, quieter winter months when storm and clearance work carries you. Naming the work you want in each season keeps enquiries arriving when the diary would otherwise thin out.
Credentials and waste, stated honestly
Membership of a body like BALI or the APL, public liability cover, and — if you carry green waste away — the right waste-carrier registration for your nation. Shown where a customer looks, these answer the quiet question about letting a stranger into the garden.
A quote path, and how far you travel
Most garden work is planned, not urgent, so a proper enquiry form earns its place — with room to describe the job — beside your number on every page. Name the areas you cover, and the quotes that reach you are jobs you can actually take.
Garden work gets searched in two frames of mind. One is the planned project — a family picturing a new patio or a full redesign, weighing a few landscapers across a season before they commit. The other is urgent — an overgrown garden, a fallen tree, a fence down after a storm — where the first landscaper who looks capable and reachable gets the call. A good landscaper website is built to win both.
Every landscaper website we build carries all six — that is the starting structure, not an upgrade.
An example landscaper website.
This is our Bristol landscaper demo — the structure we build for landscaping businesses, finished: named service pages for garden design, patios and planting, a recent-work gallery, customer reviews and insurance shown where it matters.

We make the qualifications and memberships you actually hold easy for customers to see.
Letting a landscaper into the garden means trusting them with the space, the mess and the bill — so a careful homeowner looks for the marks of a professional before booking: an industry membership, proper insurance, and the right registration to carry garden waste away.
The one customers know
BALI
The British Association of Landscape Industries — the landscape trade’s leading association, and a badge a homeowner recognises. Accreditation is earned against BALI’s standards and kept by maintaining them.
How it can appear on your site
BALI Accredited— your membership, shown here
Shown near the top of your site and beside your work — only where you hold the accreditation.
APL
The Association of Professional Landscapers — members pass one of the industry’s toughest inspection regimes, and it runs the landscaping side of the government-endorsed TrustMark scheme.
TrustMark
The government-endorsed quality scheme for work in and around the home — for landscaping, membership runs through the APL.
Waste carrier registration
Haul garden waste away and you register as a waste carrier — with the Environment Agency in England, SEPA in Scotland, Natural Resources Wales in Wales, or the NIEA in Northern Ireland.
Public liability insurance
Cover a homeowner expects before work starts in the garden — your site states it plainly, where you hold it.
None of these are ours to hand out — you earn them, and not every landscaper holds every one. We show the ones you do hold, where a homeowner will see them.

Landscaper questions, answered.
Is a website worth it if landscaping work goes quiet in winter?
That quiet stretch is exactly when a website earns its keep. People plan spring gardens over the winter — searching, comparing and shortlisting well before they book — so the landscaper who is easy to find in January often fills the spring diary. Storm damage and clearance work get searched all winter too.
I want regular maintenance clients, not just one-off jobs. Can the site help?
Yes — garden maintenance can have its own page, spelled out the way a homeowner searching for a regular gardener would expect. Naming maintenance separately from your design-and-build work means the person who wants an ongoing round finds it, instead of assuming you only take on big projects.
What if I don't have good before-and-after photos yet?
Use the ones you have — a phone photo of a real finished garden persuades more than any stock image. Where there are gaps we include professional trade photos to start with, and you swap in your own transformations, straight from your phone, as you shoot them.
Can I add a garden to the site myself once it’s finished?
Yes. Add photos of a just-finished job straight from your phone, and make simple edits — wording, services, reviews — whenever you like. Anything bigger, send it over in plain words and a real person makes the change.
How quickly can my website be ready?
Your first version is usually ready within 2–3 days of you sending your details. You review it, ask for any changes, and it only goes live once you are happy — you pay nothing until then.
All my work comes from word of mouth — what would a website add?
A recommendation almost always ends in a search. When a neighbour points at the garden you built and passes on your name, the next thing that homeowner does is look you up — for your other work, the area you cover and proof you are the real thing. A website is where a recommendation gets confirmed instead of lost.
